 A short video about

Yuan Gong

Qigong means 'controlling Qi'

You have probably experienced Qi and been aware of it, but perhaps without knowing what it was. Find out more about Qi.

Zhineng Qigong

Zhineng Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is a relatively recent Qigong style with a proven record of safety and effectiveness. It was incorporated into the Yuan Tze human life science and supported its development until November 2013 when it was replaced by the new Yuan Gong system.

Professor Pang Ming, a renowned Qigong scholar and physician from China, developed the Zhineng Qigong system about 40 years ago. He knew that for very sick people time was critical, and so he wanted a system that was safe and gave fast results. His new system was tested extensively when it was taught to all patients at the Huaxia Centre, a medicine-less hospital northeast of Bejing. The Centre had up to 7000 patients at its peak. Records were kept, and experiments were conducted and published.

Yuan Tze, my Qigong and REN XUE teacher, worked as Director of a unit of the Recovery Department at the Huaxia Centre. That unit housed people with serious illnesses, including cancer. There were more than 10 instructors and around 400 patients under his management at any one time. During that period Yuan Tze had the highest rates of success in dealing with illness at the Centre, including cancer and lithiasis (stones, commonly of the kidney or gall bladder). This and other work, has given Yuan Tze a solid experience in the use of Qigong to improve health, including in people who are already seriously ill.

Yuan Tze has taught for more than 15 years in New Zealand, and for 5 years in the United States and Europe. During that time he has continued to develop Ren Xue and has passed down selected traditional Qigong methods, Zhineng Qigong in the original form developed by Professor Pang Ming and in 2013 he created the Yuan Gong system, which is more than a Qigong system and supports a more comprehensive approach for the heatlhy development of human life.
